There are no words to express my thoughts & feelings at this time. Colleen was a great friend, even though we did not get to see each other a lot in recent years. While her departure from this earth was much too soon in our eyes, remember she is more alive than ever; she has just moved locations. We have the wonderful hope of being with her again some day. Until then, hold your memories close and treasure all the wonderful times you had together. Praying that God’s arms of comfort will envelop you and give you peace beyond understanding.
Steve, Kendall, Breaden, and Toot. My heart aches for you today. Last Sunday was a difficult day as we tried to comprehend what had happened and to learn the consequences of Colleen's short illness. There are some things that we will never understand in this life. You can rest assured that there is another meeting place in heaven and our friend Colleen, your loved one, is waiting for our arrival. She fought the fight in a very short time, and arrived safely home on Sunday, April 8. Yes, it's never easy to lose a loved one. The Word of God is the absolute truth of love, mercy, and grace.
She was an exceptional student. It was my privilege to have been her teacher in grades five, seven, and eight. She was part of a class that stayed together even until grade 12 graduation. I have many fond memories that I will cherish forever.
May you find comfort in knowing that God in His great mercy beckoned her to come home and today she is basking in His wonderful presence.
You will be remembered in thought and prayer.

We were so shocked to hear of Colleen's passing. As I read her profile, all I could think was she accomplished more in her few short years than many ever do in a longer period of time. I can't remember Colleen, because I have been away for so long. But, you all have so many wonderful memories.
What I am really pleased about and surely you all must be so relieved that she loved her Lord and now is in His Presence. There is more to life than just here and now, it is all about how we live to prepare for heaven.
May God strengthen you all and take one day at a time to experience His peace and comfort in your journey ahead.
There are no words to express how saddened I was to hear of Colleen’s passing.
Colleen was such a kind and caring person whose love for her family could not be measured. No matter what struggles she faced, she always perservered.
Colleen touched so many lives for the good.I am grateful to have had the chance to know her and call her a friend.
She will be deeply missed.
Always in my thoughts and prayers.
Steve, Kendell, Braeden, and Toot;
It was certainly a shock to receive news on Sunday morning that Colleen had completed her earthly journey in the early hours of that day. Words seem so inadequate at times such as these to truly describe how one feels as well as trying to comprehend the reality of why such things happen and their relative timing. We hold you in our thoughts and we have been praying for a presence of some relative peace and strength to help you journey through the days, weeks and months ahead. I cannot pretend to know what you are going through during these moments but understand that a void exists for a person who was deeply loved and, in return, loved.
During the past few days my mind has drifted to the many memories I have that is shared with Colleen's presence. We started out on our first day of kindergarten together and finished our last day of high school together. Our paths went in different directions following high school but we retained contact in some capacity over the years. I've spent very little time in Badger in the last 20+ years but whenever I was in town we usually crossed paths and our conversations included both memories from our past and catching up to the current day. I remember getting her friend request on Face Book and her first comment to me was, "Wow, you've gotten grey!". That was just the kind of friendship we had. At times she'd see me online and would shoot me a message and we'd 'catch-up' for a few moments. She spoke so fondly and lovingly of her family and, through the good times and challenges, she never wavered. She wanted all the success and opportunity that this life could offer her small family. Exactly a week before she passed she sent me a message on my birthday, telling me to enjoy my special day. I don't think a year ever went by after we connected virtually when she didn't wish me such sentiments. That was the type of friend she was, though apart physically, connected in whatever way possible. And I'm just one of hundreds who was connected to her in such fashion-that stands as a testament of her character.
She's been in my thoughts all week, wondering why she had to leave so early. We don't know, but we place our trust in a God who says He's close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed (Psalms 34:18) as well as promising to heal and bandage their wounds (Psalms 147:3). During this time of grief I pray that you will feel His presence and will be strengthened and provided with a peace that only He can provide. She's in an amazing place and oh the story she would tell if only she could. Really wishing we could be with you physically but asking that you feel our thoughts and prayers at this time.

I met Colleen when I was manager at the portrait studio about 3.5 years ago. I took her family photos and ever since she always stopped to ask me how I was doing whenever I saw her.
She was her daughter's #1 cheerleader, and loved her family with her whole heart and then some. My heart is broken for Steve, Kendall, Brayden and Toots.
Sending all my strength in the days that come.

Steve, Kendell, Braeden & Granny,
Death brings pain that time can only heal,
No words could ease what we truly feel;
But with God, her joy is eternally sealed,
And cherish her memories that death can’t even steal.
Lift up a smile for she is already in the paradise.
Our Deepest Condolences
Lots of Love From Your Labrador Family ❤️

There are no words to express our sincere sympathy for you Steve, Kendall and Braden. I met Colleen about 4 years ago after she returned back to work after being off sick and she was such a wonderful spiritual inspiration. Her kind loving words about her family was such a remarkable character I will never forget about her. She was so proud of her husband/children. She had told me on many occasions when we spoke how grateful she was to have been blessed with such a supported family. She went on to say how great you were Steve when she went through the toughest time in her life. Steve, she was so proud of you when you gave your heart to the Lord, although there were struggles she was behind you every step of the way. She just wanted to tell the whole world because she was so proud. Thinking and praying for you in the days ahead, may God continue to bless you. You guys now have your own personal angel.....God Bless all of you.
