Obituary of Edna McLennon

It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved Mother, Mother-in-Law, Sister, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt and sister-in-law, Edna Mary McLennon at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre on January 22nd, 2018. Edna was born on January 25th, 1943 to Walter and Emma Murray, at the age of 13 her Mother passed away leaving Edna, being the oldest child the caregiver to all of her younger siblings. A job she embraced and excelled at. On June 4th, 1966 Edna married her soulmate Edgar McLennon and settled in Windsor where they raised their family. Edna was a very loving and outgoing person whose infectious smile lit up a room and it was a joy to be in her presence for anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Edna was predeceased  by her parents Walter and Emma Murray, husband Edgar McLennon, son Joseph McLennon. Also predeceased by siblings Jim Murray, Jerome Murray, Vera Dyke and Linda Dove. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons David (Rhonda) and Gerard (Michele), Daughter-in-law Marguerite Anstey as well as Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Also left to mourn are brothers Francis (Mary) Murray and Allan (Yvonne Lewis) Murray; Brothers-in-law: Bill (Maureen) McLennon, John (Shirley Noseworthy) McLennon, Tom (Inez) McLennon; Sisters-in-law, Bernie (Mike) McDonald, May Murray, Patsy Murray, and Lucy Best.

 

Father Eugene Morris will conduct the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Lincoln Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. with interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. 

 

Pallbearers are her grandsons: Douglas McLennon and Shane McLennon; nephews: Michael Murray, Chris Murray, Michael McLennon and Michael MacDonald Jr.
