To Comrade and Friend, Janette Walker
While you are experiencing the pain and hurt of separation due to the passing of your husband, I know that you do not sorrow as someone who has no hope because you believe and trust in the Living Christ - Jesus who was raised from the dead. The Bible refers to Jesus as the "first fruits of a great harvest of all who have died". In John 14:19 Jesus says, because I live, you shall live also. 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52 says "Listen, let me tell you a mystery, it will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 1 John 3:2 says “When He appears we shall be made like Him, because we shall see Him as he is”.
On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 5, Botwood, it was a privilege and an honour to have visited with you and your husband, Veteran John Maxwell Walker this past summer at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre. I cherish the memory of that very pleasant visit that we shared.
Janette please be comforted with this reminder: many of your friends are praying that the Lord will strengthen you with His presence and His measureless Love at this time. For Jesus promised to never leave you or forsake you.
Comrade Brenda Williams

Heaven has been blessed with another angel and the link that kept our family together on earth has joined our family gone before us. Distance has kept us from seeing each other often, but the feeling of family has always been present. Now the last link has been severed and a great sense of loss remains. We have many pleasant memories and will treasure them forever. My condolences to Jeanette and all the family. RIP my friend
