John Maxwell Walker

On January 7, 2018, God reached for Max’s hand and called him home. Max was a devote family man and was a Christian.

Max was married to his first wife Mame (Pelley) Walker for 47 years, until she passed away in 1999.  He then married Janette Pinsent (Walsh) Walker, and they were married for 19 years.  They both enjoyed their life to the fullest.

He loved life and enjoyed making people laugh with a story or a practical joke.  He overcame many adversities during his 91 years and would never complain.  He love being in the woods, which was his favourite pastime and enjoyed reading his Bible on a daily basis.

Max retired from the CNR after 28 years of service and was a member of the Legion, LOB Lodge and the Salvation Army Men’s Service Club in Bishop’s Falls.  He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Walker; first wife Mable Walker, daughter Mona Walker; brother Joe; sister Audrey; baby brother Eugene.  He leaves to mourn his wife Jeanette Walker; sons Dennis Walker, Bruce Walker (Sharon), David Walker (Sherri), Dean Walker (Cody), Phil Cull (Christine); daughter Velma (Ron) Attard; step-daughters Phyllis Burt, Patsy (Art) Barnes, Bernadine (Glen) Burt, Darlene (Todd) Regular; step-sons Roger (Maisy) Randall, Wayne (Cavelle) Randall, Tony (Bernice) Pinsent, David (Joanne) Pinsent, Craig (Heather) Pinsent and Christopher (Mari) Pinsent; 38 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a circle of other relatives and friends.  Captains Morgan and Lisa Hillier will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel, Bishop’s Falls, on Thursday January 11, 2018 AT 2pm.  Interment to follow at the Salvation Army cemetery, Bishop’s Falls.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood.  Pallbearers will be Bruce Walker, Dean Walker, Marcel Cull, Ron Attard, Tony Pinsent, David Pinsent.  Honorary pallbearers will be Velma Attard and Dennis Walker.

Until we meet again on that beautiful shore.  Rest in Peace.
