Passed peacefully away on December 29, 2017 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, David James Lynch, at the age of 65 years. He is predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Ellen Lynch; and brother, Dominic Lynch. Left to mourn his wife, Theresa; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Beson-Cross; sisters, Sister Brendan Lynch, Theresa Keough, Ann Lane, Stella (Lloyd) Way, Rosarie (Wayne) Hedges, Gertrude (George) Tubrett, and Judy (Cyril) Powell; brothers, Bill (Ruby), Bob (Barbara), Brendan (Elaine), Andrew, Gerard (Rose), and Douglas (Shirley); granddaughter, Maria Knight, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
David (Dave) was a man of many talents and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and cooking. He was a member of the Legion, Kinsman Club, a 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus member. David's kindness, caring and compassion was truly admired by all. He had the unique ability to put a smile on everyone's face with his humor and charm. David and Theresa spent their lives surrounding themselves with their family and friends. They were especially happy when surrounded by children, which could be seen through his love for their many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and their beautiful granddaughter. David was a truly gentle soul, who drew many friends that loved him as much as his family did.
Father Eugene Morris will conduct the funeral mass st St. Joseph's Parish in Grand Falls-Windsor on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 2pm. Interment will follow at St. Joesph's Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor. pallbearers are John Hedges, Terry Murray, Douglas Lynch, Gerard Lynch, Brendan Lynch, and Bill Lynch.
