Norman James Freake

Passed peacefully away on November 30, 2017, at the Carmelite House surrounded by his family, Norman James Freake at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Freake; son, Allan; brothers, Ken and Alf. He leaves to mourn his sons, David, Edward (Kathy), Ronald (Peggy), and Rodney (Maxine); daughters, Barbara (Glen) Bowers, Shirley (Kevin) Phillips, Rebecca (Junior) Bungay, Roberta (George) Freake, Lillian (Phil) Curran, Jackie (Gord) Freake, and Cindy (Thanh) Vu. Also, his sister, Eve Burke; brothers, George Menchenton, and Roland Freake; a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a circle of other relatives and friends including Lori Sampson, who is a dear friend of the Freake family who took care of Norman. Pastor Robert Parsons will conduct the funeral service from Windsor Pentecostal Church on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 2pm. Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery on Caribou Road. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers are Edward Freake, Ronald Freake, Rodney Gray, Thanh Vu, Phil Curran, and Shirley Phillips. Honorary pallbearer is Barbara Bowers.
